I really struggled with this series. It's like Throne of Glass' ugly step-sister. Sorry S.M. Gaither. I honestly hate giving bad reviews because I COULD NEVER write like this but this just wasn't for me. What did I like? The world building is great. It def has some ToG vibes so if that's your jam, you might just love this. But it just dragged on forever in the weeds and those just aren't my books. If you are more into high fantasy - you might love this! Casia is a badass FMC and there are some things that kept me going because I refuse to DNF but it never took off for me.
