When Fearless came out (book 3) I reread Powerless and Reckless and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed them all. When I first read books 1&2 I was a little disappointed, I think because I went into it not realizing it was YA and unfinished. But the completed trilogy is *chef’s kiss* as long as you know what you’re getting going into it. I did read the Powerful novella as well and enjoyed it, but haven’t read the most recent novella, Fearful.

The Elites have magic and the Ordinaries do not. Paedyn is an Ordinary and hides this fact after they are all driven out of Ilya. Events lead to her saving the life of Prince Kai and everything unravels from there.

I LOVE the banter and the tension between Paedyn and Kai. I also just love a badass FMC and Paedyn is scrappy and resourceful 💪🏼
