We Who Will Die is a dark romantasy about Arvelle, a young woman scraping by in the brutal Thorn district while trying to protect her two younger brothers in a world ruled by ancient vampires. Enormous cast, enormous map, enormous body count. I needed a notebook for the first two hundred pages and I did not resent it once. The romance is a slow burn measured in books rather than chapters, so go in knowing you are committing to the whole shelf.
